geographer was even better than my last stay in zhangjiajie. convenient location near transport, clean room, and helpful staff made my trip enjoyable. the kettle and hairdryer in the room were a nice touch for my travels.

Mind-blowing location just a short 5-minute walk from the train station. Super easy to find with lots of local restaurants, cafes, and a supermarket nearby. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering GREAT travel advice and maps for a small price. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the price for a dorm bed was jaw-droppingly cheap. Highly recommended for fellow travelers! Can't wait to come back!

I recently stayed at Hostel Geographer for a few days while exploring the nearby national park and Tianmen Mountain. The staff was incredibly helpful and honest, providing me with tips and tricks to save money during my travels. They even informed me that I could use my student card for a discounted ticket. The location of the hostel is convenient, with the train and bus stations nearby, as well as the Tianmen cableway. The rooms were nicely decorated and had AC, which was perfect for the winter season. I also appreciated the free drinking water and the flexibility to leave my luggage at the hostel while I ventured out to Wulingyuan.

I stayed at Geographer for 4 nights during my visit to Zhangjiajie. The hostel's location near the train and bus stations was perfect for my travel needs. The 4-bed room was spacious and clean, and the staff spoke excellent English and provided helpful tips for tours and local navigation. They even went above and beyond to help me retrieve my lost phone, accompanying me to the police station without accepting payment. The hostel also served delicious, reasonably priced meals in the evening, and the beds were comfortable and inviting. a simple yet fantastic hostel experience!

I had an amazing stay at the hostel! The man at the reception, who I believe is also the owner, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He was always available, which made checking in and checking out a breeze. When I arrived early in the morning, he even allowed me to leave my belongings in the room so I could explore the mountains right away. I was impressed by his English skills and his willingness to provide a map and recommend local attractions. I highly recommend this place for a great experience.
